The Retro Collection - The Alien Figure List
As a kid, my two favorite categories were aliens and droids. Weird creatures in cool costumes joined shiny mechanized beings, and they looked incredible. Since so many of them had no lines, they were things kids could use as pretty much anything - an arms dealer, a bartender, or just some guy hanging around near an Ewok village. Hasbro's first year of 12 figures featured three aliens, while the second batch of nine (or 10) included four (or five) depending on how you choose to count the blue and red Snaggletooth figures. By the time Kenner closed the door on the line in 1985, 42 of 116 figures - 36% - were some sort of non-human species.
If it seems that fewer figures in The Retro Collection are aliens, that means you, too, can count. 28 out of 102 releases meet my standards of being an alien, or about 28& of the collection. We've never seen The Armorer's face, but you're human until evidence proves otherwise for the purposes of this list. And Marrok appears to be a being what's made of gas.

Han, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and the Stormtrooper were sold as individually packed figures at Target and Entertainment Earth in 2019. These figures were bundled as a shared Disney and Hasbro Pulse exclusive in 2021 and were sold at Entertainment Earth in 2024. The 6-pack action figures have no figure changes other than new printed date stamps on their legs and revised packaging, under the SKU #F7648.
