While it leaked a few years ago, I had a hard time finding Star Wars Detours "Dog Day Afternoon" which featured Andy Richter and "Weird Al" Yankovic as 4-LOM and Zuckuss. A pal of mine messaged me over the weekend with a link - and sure enough, it's there! It's only 6 1/2 minutes, but it's interesting to see an alternate future where the franchise could have descended into intentional self-parody. Check it out over at Archive.org while you can.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: The Mandalorian (The Rescue, The Vintage Collection). More of the same, but different, and at a premium price! This figure includes a lot of gear like Whistling Birds and a removable wrist rocket, and fire, and the Beskar spear. And a pistol. It's probably the most fleshed-out Mando yet, but he's in an expensive boxed set. But he's probably the best. Read on!
Over at Orbitdyne, Making a Cantina - Part II shows a much larger, more robust set with booths, a full bar, glow-in-the-dark elements, and electronic internal lights. And a sticker door. It's incredible - and you should check it out.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Wandering Jedi, The Vintage Collection). You get a lot of stuff - two micro droids, a blaster, two lightsaber pieces, a cloak - but the head is a smidgen off, and I really hate that mid-torso joint. Arguably, you get your money's worth in this price increase world but wouldn't it be better to have a slightly simpler figure at a lower price? Read on!

Reader Timothy pointed out this neat unlicensed/fan item Mudbelly "Wild Type" Soft Vinyl Figure from Garden State Kaiju. The 5-inch soft vinyl figure is $35.00 and looks a lot lke Kenner's original Patrol Dewback toy from the 1970s.
Friend of the site Seth Longmire has been working on a 3 3/4-inch scale bar for action figures that's a mix of old 1970s colors and modern 2020 production techniques. You can read about it at Making a Cantina - Part 1 where the orange 3-D printed prototype can be seen.
I've seen a bit more of this item's progress and I can tell you it's pretty spectacular, and designed to fit in a DETOLF (so far.) You'll want to keep an eye on this one if you have a lot of properly scaled action figures. And if you don't, there have been some really good ones lately.
