Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: 8D8 (The Vintage Collection). This pack-in figure from Jabba's Palace set is an amazing upgrade - with very little articulation. The last release was in 1998, and this one lacks the light-up eyes or torture rack. He has a lot more paint, though, and looks more on-model. You'll want it, but the $89.99 Jabba set it comes in is kinda pricey. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - Making Metal Men at Home - is it going to happen any time soon? Maybe it's already happening. Also Where was The Bad Batch? Not in The Vintage Collection, or at least, not yet.
Also, we're out of questions for next week. Send in new questions.

Via The Hollywood Reporter: ‘Game of Thrones’ Actor Rory McCann Replacing the Late Ray Stevenson for ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2. That pretty much says it all.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Hera Syndulla (The Ghost, The Vintage Collection). She shares the head and hands with the basic carded figure from Ahsoka, as well as the blaster, but pretty much everything else is new. You can't actually buy this figure outside of eBay right now, but she's pretty good and can be crammed in the Phantom vehicle from that set, just barely. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mother Aniseya (The Retro Collection). Sure, she's from new Disney+ content and not the original trilogy, or Ewoks or Droids or Star Tours or the 1977-1987 Marvel comic book, but she still makes for a decent Kenner-style action figure. Her costume in The Acolyte was incredibly ornate, as was her make-up, and this figure has to tone it down a bit - and does a pretty good job. Her hair is still huge, with some gold in it. Her outfit has a lot of good sculpted detail, including a very Hoth Rebels-esque pattern in the blue part of her costume. She's very much a simplified version of what you saw on the small screen, but if she weren't, she wouldn't be "retro." Give this one a look. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - The Lost Sellers of eBay! Where did the army builders go? Also HasLab - should be be asking for more of things we already have? Man, I hope not.
Also, we're out of questions for next week. Send in new questions.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: C1 (Penguin, Holiday Droid Factory). This was the "secret" figure in last year's Disney Advent Calendar - and it's pretty good. The flourishes look like a cross between a rockhopper penguin and a certain mouse, and while it doesn't have a radar dish it does have a wreath. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: KE4-N4 (The Vintage Collection). This pack-in figure from the E-Wing fighter is pretty awesome - I'd love to buy him in many other colors, including/especially R2-D2 colors since the dome is based on the 1978 design of that very droid. Should you get it? I mean, I did, I'd recommend it. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - Skeleton Crew! Should we expect exciting new figures in The Retro Collection? Probably not. Most new shows have a pretty short figure half-life these days. And what figures do the kids want? Well, not much seemingly.
Also, we're out of questions, so send in more if you like!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Jango Fett (The Retro Collection). While a little too nice for a Kenner-style figure, it's not an unlikable toy. The jet pack is similar (but different) from what we got on Boba, bis blasters are cool, and the paint is more or less as good as any modern Jango toy. You should give it a look. Read on!
Got a MiSTer, properly enabled Analogue Pocket, or a Sega Genesis with a ROM cart (or an emulator)? Then today is your lucky day. A fan named Master Linkuei posted a free download of Super Star Wars Holiday Special on his itch.io page. This is a fan-made game inspired by some official games from the 1990s.
It's a 16-bit game made for Sega, which never got an official release of any of the 1990s Super Star Wars games - those were all Super NES titles. I got a few minutes in and had some problems jumping in a spot - but it's pretty neat, and most importantly, free. If you know how to play downloadable files that are compatible with Sega's 1989 hardware, you should grab this while you can.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: R2 (Gingerbread, Holiday Droid Factory). I like this one - it came from the 2024 Advent Calendar, and it has a ton of paint on it. Lots of icing, lots of candy bits, and a tray of milk and cookies. I'd say you should get this one, even if you don't like holiday figures it's pretty good. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - Return of the Son of Shmi Skywalker - is Anakin finally getting a Revenge of the Sith reissue? Well... if you use your imagination, sure. Also for my fellow olds, Let's Talk More Retro, because unfortunately for you, the 1980s era of Kenner is why I started writing about toys on the internet during the dial-up era, and this is what makes me happy.
Also, my friend Seth goaded me into getting a $180 3D printer, so let's talk about that a bit. Send in new questions for future installments too.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: R1 (Holiday Droid Factory). This Advent Calendar figure is very tall, and mashes up a bell with a candy cane. It's not a bad idea, but it is a little on the weird side and may not have a home outside of a holiday set-up. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mandalorian Warrior (Amazon Exclusive 3-Pack, Epic Hero Series) . This Amazon exclusive seems to be in stock and $1 off through that handy affiliate link, and while she's not completely perfect to the costume seen in The Mandalorian I haven't seen any other action figure toys of this character. I think she's great, and one of very few figures exclusive to Epic Hero Series. For that reason, you'll want this set. Read on!
