Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Imperial Droid (With Probe-Mate Hyperspace Pod, Droid Factory, Boxed). I missed this guy when he insta-sold out last year, but a friend of mine was at the theme park area and saw them for sale - so I got one. It's pretty much the same droid figure we got for the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, but the pod vehicle is new - and one of the first new vehicles from The Empire Strikes Back in a very long time. I would say that alone is worth the purchase, just because you can't exactly go to the store and buy any original trilogy Hasbro vehicles these days. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - secret messages encoded on your action figures. Do they tell us the secrets of the pyramids? Their birthdays? Of the Universe itself? The answer may (not) surprise you! Also fast food toys are making a comeback, but you can also have a pretty good time digging out old stuff from the 1990s.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Marrok (The Vintage Collection). We didn't get one in Ahsoka, so now you can have one from Maul: Shadow Lord! He has a lot of articulation, and his cape. He even has a full lightsaber plus a hilt to stow on his back. They did a nice job with this one, so if you need more Inquisitors you'll want to pick him up. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Poggle the Lesser (The Vintage Collection). His last new figure was about 20 years ago, so this new super-articulated version with more paint and jointed wings is a big improvement. While not a perfect match for what we saw on screen, they got a lot of the details just right. The bracelets could have been a little more chaotic, but the general vibe of the character and the coloration are the best we've had. Read on!

This week in Star Wars Q&A - Licensing pricing. Is a popular license always more expensive? Well, it depends. And Could anything happen to stop next year's movie? Probably not.
Also we are out of questions which should not surprise you. Maybe it's time to retire!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: DD-BD (Droid Factory, Carded). A new droid mold? In this economy? It can happen! I really like this little guy, and am thrilled to see something more than repaints or new versions of figures I've had for 30-50 years. If you can find one, I highly recommend picking one up, even if you didn't see Solo: A Star Wars Story. How often do we ever get a completely new Star Wars droid or alien action figure? It's pretty uncommon, so this is truly an exciting new arrival. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper (Replaced shin and shoulder, The Vintage Collection). He has two bits of replaced armor, and some of the best dirty/damaged deco I've seen at this size. I was really impressed by this set, especially as Hasbro found a way to make each trooper a tiny bit different - that's really cool. I think it's a set you might want one or two of, and one where I might buy a second set. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - Slow question week. The questions that came in were good, but not things I could really talk about here - so I'll ramble a bit about big store displays returning right now, Popcorn buckets at Walmart, and new movie anxiety.
Also we are out of questions which should not surprise you. Maybe it's time to retire!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Funko Luke Skywalker (Bitty Pop! Arcade Display). Normally we don't look at non-Hasbro items here, but I think this one was too interesting to skip. This set includes a tiny Luke figure with pixel-esque deco, and a tiny plastic box for him, plus a small arcade cabinet loosely inspired by 1980s designs. The cabinet itself is about right, the stick is different, and the graphics seem to be wholly original (but inspired by things you might have seen back then.)
It's neat!
If they made ones that matched Atari art, I'd buy those too. The cabinet is sized to fit with Funko Pop! Vinyl figures or most 2 3/4-inch scale figures, which all have roughly the same size body. I'm not saying to start a new collection, but this is a great little toy for eight dollars. I've seen them in Target, online, and in some indie toy shops. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Airborne Clone Trooper (212th Battalion, The Vintage Collection). This Walmart exclusive is actually showing up in stores, so keep an eye out for a closed-box two-pack with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Is it as good as the 2006 version? Well, it's not worse, but it's different. You may be happy with what you h ave, but if you don't have? This one has a more modern, skinnier sculpt with current articulation. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - More movie stuff? It remains to be seen! Also there are a lot of figure formats coming out from Asia - so why buy one and not the other?
Also we are out of questions so I have two openings for next week and beyond, if you dare.
