Via the Glyos News Dump: Healey Made Bulloch Assassin and Raider Returns. The Raider (Assassin) was also restocked, and they match! They also match the Trooper (Bulloch) from a few months ago, so with any luck, this is the last of the Bulloch colorways for a while.

This is a 3 3/4-inch scale action figure sculpted by a former Kenner employee.  The head and limbs are removable via Glyos pegs, which I assume you know about, but you should go look them up if you don't.  The figure has an alternate helmeted head and a blaster, and actually fits in pretty well with your old Kenner guys and ReAction Figures.  The figures are $25 each and come packaged in a clear plastic bag.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard, The Retro Collection). It's not as good as the original - the level of detail is a lot lower, and the eyes on mine are a little weird - but in a shelf, wearing a helmet, near an old Jabba, he still looks cool. Why the details are so soft, I don't know - but some slight variations in color will make it even more clear that this isn't the figure you've owned since 1983. Read on!

I also posted this on that Glyos blog I keep: Cappy Space Won't Quit, Outwatcher on Thursday. This is a figure that's just short of 3-inches tall and comes with a removable helmet and alternate heads. If it looks familiar, the molding was previously sold in other colors at the 481 Universe / Ni Stuff shop. Which I'll forgive you for not knowing, it's an indie line you probably missed.

Cappy Space takes some of those old molds and gives them new life. You can see previews of other figures on his Instagram. Highlights for the Thursday launch include the Winnie the Pooh-inspired Hunny Crayboth, a cool Headliner Goliath, and a swell 3 3/4-inch scale figure you should see - the Guardian Diver. These came from Onell Design, Mystical Warrior of the Rings, and Knights of the Slice molds, respectively.

Via the Glyos News Dump: New Healey Made Assassin March 11 at 2:00 PM EST. Details are unknown, but the previous Assassins were all pretty good and some were painted to look like Bossk and Pythona, if those names mean much to you.

In 2013 if you told me that Lucasfilm had planned a Star Wars movie and shelved it, I would be incredibly sad.  I liked the prequels just fine.  I have no complaints about the Ewok movies.  They were fine, they were fun.  But after 5 movies in 5 years, I have learned that when Lucasfilm says "you know what, nevermind" that it's probably a good idea to say "yeah, yeah, you aren't wrong."   (But still, if you liked or loved 4 out of 5 that's a pretty good batting average!)

Over at Variety, the story is explained by the headline  ‘Star Wars’ Shakeup: Kevin Feige and Patty Jenkins Movies Shelved, Taika Waititi Looking to Star in His Own Film (EXCLUSIVE).  Basically, the big news? No news.

Today Hasbro (and Yahoo) revealed 7 of 8 previously announced Star Wars: The Retro Collection Kenner-style action figures from The Book of Boba Fett.   Check them out in: 'Mandalorian' and 'Boba Fett' go retro for latest action figure lineup (exclusive).  The whole wave - or at least we've seen - is pretty excellent with what seems to be three existing sculpts with deco/accessory changes, four newly sculpted figures, and one missing.

Not shown was a new Luke Jedi figure - maybe they'll just repackage the old one. (It's what Kenner would have done!)  New figure reveals today include Krrsantan, Fennec Shand, Boba Fett, Cad Bane, Grogu, a Tusken Raider, and The Mandalorian.   There isn't a new vinyl cape in the bunch, but it appears Grogu just has a new accessory - the blue training backpack - and Mando may be the same as the 2022 version, but with the 2021 Moff Gideon Darksaber accessory.  You be the judge.

It's a figure we've had a couple of times before, but this one uses a newer mold and does a nicer job with the paint applications. But is it worth it at the "exclusive tax" mark-up? Read on!

While not Star Wars, this one probably crosses over with those of you who are 40 or older, and love Kenner-style figures.  Hasbro's Steve Evans posted on Instagram that their nifty Marvel Legends Retro 375 line is "resting."  A lot of lines have years-long hiatuses - Zoids disappeared for almost 20 years (and barely reappeared), Indiana Jones took a nap for over a decade, so all is not without hope.

As there are no plans to release any more, you can probably afford to go back and buy the entire line somewhat cheaply Various lots and collections on eBay have been ranging from an average of $4-$10 per figure in some cases (this is how I got a lot of mine), so I'd recommend checking them out if you're into this sort of thing.  The packaging has a thicker cardstock and better overal art than the Star Wars line, and while the figures share a ton of parts they're still pretty excellent.

We do not recommend, but are linking to, the Star Wars The Black Series NED-B & Purge Trooper, OBI-Wan Kenobi 6-Inch Collectible Action Figures Carbonized 2-Pack, Ages 4 and Up (Amazon Exclusive). The NED-B was previously sold for about $34, but not Carbonized, while the Walmart exclusive non-metal Purge Trooper was closer to $28. The pair is $75 in a big, wide double-box and probably isn't the kind of thing you want to pay full price to get - but if it is, you can click here.

It's back! The Garden State Kaiju Mudbelly Wild Type Figure is back in stock for $35.00 after it launched and sold out quickly last month. I got mine on my desk - he's smaller than Kenner's original Dewback toy, but cute and the detail work on a soft-vinyl figure can be truly amazing stuff. The sculpting is also impressive, but the paint work looks like a real mass-produced Kenner toy. It's cute, and is only jointed at the neck.
