Introduction

We (GALACTICHUNTER.COM) collect and use personal information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement.  This statement applies solely to information collected on Web site(s) under the GALACTICHUNTER.COM domain name.

I. Information Collection

We collect personally identifiable data from accounts registered for use with our Forum messaging system.  This information includes personal name, e-mail address, and date of birth.

Any Forum message may contain information of any kind, voluntarily supplied by the message's author.  This information is viewable by all Forum members, and is not controlled by us.  Anything written in a Forum message should be considered public knowledge.

We also collect information that is not personally identifiable and is usable only for statistic analysis.  This information includes, but is not limited to:  Web site URL access statistics, IP addresses of client Web browsers, and brand name and version of Web browsers used to connect to the Web site.  (These are standard anonymous statistics normally sent by all Web browsers.)

Our Web site also employs cookie tracking.  A cookie is a small text file that our Web server places on a client computer's disk.  We use cookies only for the Forum messaging system, in order to allow automatic user login
between Web site accesses.

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 ("COPPA"), United States, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.  Such children are not permitted access to the Forum messaging system, which is the only part of our Web site that collects personally identifiable information.

II. Information Usage

Administrators of our Web site have access to the information we collect, described in Part I above.  This information disclosed to or shared with any third party for any reason, but it may be used for anonymous statistical analysis, or for administrative purposes such as network abuse prevention.

However, information voluntarily provided by users for public viewing through the Forum messaging system (such as Profile information, e-mail address, date of birth) will be viewable by other Forum members.

III. Data Security

Personally identifiable information is protected by electronic access control, and Forum user accounts are protected by server-side data encryption.

While we do not anticipate that this data will be stolen, we will make all necessary efforts to notify our users if such an event does occur.

If an unexpected disclosure of personally identifiable information is suspected, the Web site administrators may be contacted via e-mail at webmaster@galactichunter.com.  We anticipate resolving all such disputes
within a reasonable time frame.

IV. External Links

We offer some Web links that point to other Web sites not under our control. This Privacy Policy does not, and cannot, apply to other Web sites.  Users are advised to read the privacy policies of any external Web sites accessed via these links.

V. Change Notification

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time.  If it does change, we will attempt to notify users via informational links on our Web site and/or messages in the Forum messaging system.
