It's a version designed to match Heir to the Empire - note the shoulder ornamentation and ysalamir - but it retained the unique collar ornamentation from Rebels and Ahsoka. In short, this is probably the Thrawn you were waiting for, unless you're waiting for a retro Kenner-style figure, in which case we're all still waiting. This Thrawn sold out quickly, and is part of a decent set of figures. If you can snag it, you probably should do so. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: R0-1N6 (The Book of Boba Fett, Droid Factory). It loks a lot like a figure from a few years ago - but the drums are new. They're not an exact match for The Book of Boba Fett but given it's been about four years, odds are we'll not be getting a remake of this guy or many other character from the show. It's good enough for now, and pretty impressive what with its tiny arms and drumsticks. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Sandtrooper (The Retro Collection). This is a good one, with two gripping hands and a sculpt that looks like it would belong in the 1970s. He has that diamond knee design you'd expect, the shoulder pad is split to allow for movement, and it has a unique blaster. It's kind of a shame you can't buy these individually, I'd have picked up a few more. He's currently in a 6-pack at Target stores. Read on!

Via Amazon (yes this is a sponsored link): STAR WARS SW 4INCH Figure Vehicle Pack . It's actually an Epic World of Action IG-11, Grogu, and Speeder Bike set - and I believe it's an exclusive. The product listing doesn't have a name and it's not labeled as an exclusive, but I haven't seen it elsewhere so who knows what might happen in other stores in a few days. It's not bad for the asking price - pretty much the same as a regular retail Speeder Bike, with more stuff in the box.

It's a mad Jedi clone from a 1991 book, finally arriving to fulfill a name that's been on a lot of wish lists since the original Bush administration. Sadly, the set quickly sold out, but hopefully there will be demand for him to come back. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Walrus Man (The Retro Collection). It's the only remake of the only wave (that I know of) for the year, taking the 1979 figure and sanding down the edges. The whiskers seem to have been reduced in resolution and blurred out, and the various wrinkles are softer than the real deal - but the colors and paint are perfect. The joints move nicely and the plastic feels great. Hopefully they can sharpen up the next round of reissues, but after seven years of figures I would not hold my breath. His hand can hold his (or one of Evazan's) blasters, but it's a little looser than the 1979 hand. Still, it's nice, and I like the improved eye paint a lot. It's charming, and you should be buying this set anyway. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Human Male Rebel Pilot (Rebel Pilots set, The Vintage Collection). What if Hasbro gave Luke a different head? Well, they did, and here it is. Pilots without vehicles are probably the troopers I need the least, but it was a well-executed design and now you can have it take up space somewhere. It's not bad - it's just not as interesting as the rest of the set. Since it's  not based on any obvious on-screen character (or off-screen, as far as I know) I wouldn't call it essential.  It's the kind of thing that may make you go "do I still want to collect them all?" It's $64.99 and includes a reproduction (minus the foot pegs) of the Cantina Adventure Set from Sears - arguably very worth the price of admission. Four figures and a playset-like diorama for that price is about as good as this kind of thing gets.
