Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Snowtrooper Commander (The Vintage Collection). This is the 3-pack guy - the single carded figure (and trooper pack) are the grunts, so this one has different shoulders and knees and a different helmet too. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Han Solo (The Vintage Collection). It's new! It has great articulation and construction! But the hair and face are still hard to get right. I'd still recommend it as the best possible option you can buy right now, but you might also be happy with the figures you've got - and a new version is probably inevitable down the road. You can see where the extra money is going with the neck as a piece separately molded from the shirt, a unique wig piece, face printing, and other distinct (and not free) elements. But, the 1999 CommTech one might be good enough for your playset display needs. Read on!
Ad: In stock (while supplies last), the Star Wars The Retro Collection Return of the Jedi 3 3/4-Inch Action Figures Set of 6 - Exclusive is back! In 2023 this item was a shared Disney/Hasbro Pulse exclusive and sold through pretty quickly. Orders are processing, and new orders are welcome today for your Yak Face and Mon Mothma needs.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Clone Captain Rex (Epic World of Action). It's been out for a couple of months and is an excellent figure with a good amount of articulation. The price is great for what you get. So what's the catch? I haven't seen any in stores yet, it's available online and I assume that means the line isn't doing very well. While he has two clear blue pistols - admittedly, an unusual choice - it's still a well-made figure that would probably do great business if people could find it on a peg. I'd recommend it if you can find it. Read on!
Ad: Coming soon to Entertainment Earht, the Star Wars The Black Series Ewok (Valentine’s Day Edition) 6-Inch Action Figure is super pink! Celebrate the love with a pink Paploo with a valentine in the box, plus a droid buddy.
While you're at it, check out all the new pre-orders from Hasbro including action figures and helmets.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: R5-ZOMB (Droid Factory). He's from last year, but just look at it. Making a holiday droid that somehow integrates into the greater universe is tough, and the muted colors really work here. It feels like a piece of equipment left exposed to the great outdoors, complete with a rusted-out hole in the dome and dirty paint applications. One eye is blacked out with the other two featuring a yellow dot set inside red, and there are tons of painted pink panels and gross green highlights in addition to a smattering of paint specks. This is a good one - even if you don't do the Halloween thing, you could see this in a Sandcrawler or Jabba's Palace somewhere. Read on!
Ad: Over the weekend Hasbro revealed a ton of new action figures at NYCC, and Entertainment Earth has pre-orders open now. They're all at Entertainment Earth today!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Greedo (Cantina Adventure Set - The Vintage Collection). Now that's a toy with personality. Bright colors, side-eye, decent articulation, and a holster - it's about as good as you can expect from a modern-era collector figure. They don't want to throw in play features, but very few original figures had any. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Senni Tonnika (Cantina - The Vintage Collection). She was near the top of a very short list of figures that it seemed Hasbro (and Kenner) might never make - but here we are! In the 1990s we were hoping for a figure with six joints and now we've got a super-articulated figure with a separately molded wig, a blaster, a glass, and an alternate hand. You can't ask for much more here, other than maybe a reissue for those who skipped out on the HasLab Cantina. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Scout Trooper (Red Tech Speeder Bike / Epic World of Action). The classic deco at stores is being cleared out, but this red "tech" variant has been showing up online. The figure itself is the same, but the bike has some added paint with clear red plastic accessories. It's weird, so I like it - but good luck tracking it down outside online sellers. Read on!
Right now, DisneyStore has DJ R-3X Action Figure – Droid Depot – Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in stock It's orange, it has some painted scuffs, and it looks cool.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Darth Vader (The Journey of Anakin Skywalker - The Vintage Collection). He's new, and technically from Ahsoka but also might do as a stand-in for Revenge of the Sith despite the red blade lightsaber. It's a pretty great figure and part of a 3-pack with an Emperor's Wrath Vader and a caped The Clone Wars Anakin. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: C1-10P (Ahsoka show redeco, Droid Factory). It's a repaint of a cartoon toy for a live action show, and it's similar enough that you probably wouldn't miss not having it. The actual prop had some alterations from this design, but it's probably one of those "close enough" things that you wouldn't mind having nor would you miss not having. Assuming you had other Disney or Hasbro Chopper figures, of course. Read on!
Ad: Pre-order new Star Wars The Black Series Boba Fett (The Book of Boba Fett) 6-Inch Action Figure, Star Wars The Black Series Darth Vader (Duel’s End) 6-Inch Action Figure, and in-stock (for now) Star Wars The Vintage Collection Jango Fett 3 3/4-Inch Deluxe Action Figure - Exclusive. Don't miss it again if you wanted one!
Details are light, but at New York Comic Con Steve Evans posted a preview of Garindan! It looks a little different than many would have expected - the hips seem a little thin and possibly fragile for a robed figure - but it's a new alien. Is it an exclusive? Will it be in a 6-pack? How can I get one? I don't know. But it's nice to see the line continue, in some sort of "pack" at least.
