Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Zeb Orrelios (New Republic Pilot, The Vintage Collection). I haven't seen this guy in shops yet, but I got one from work - and it's pretty impressive. The smirk, the teeth, the tiny "PULL TO INFLATE" on the vest, Hasbro did a super nice job on this figure, with two accessories to boot.
And it's $28. so you're probably going to ask "is this $8 better than a basic figure?" to which I would say "...I guess?"
It's very good, but you don't get the energy blasts or any other bonus accessories to make you go "wow, sure, this is a deluxe figure." But the colors are nice, all the joints seem like they had a bit more time to design properly, and you're going to like this figure if you buy one and open it. But you'll feel better about it if it was on sale, minus the fact that it probably would mean we won't get as many figures quite this nicely done down the road. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - The Return of Cody. Better late than never, but it's been 29 years since the last EV-9D9. And now that the Empire is back in the movies, might Hasbro reconsider The Retro Collection? Fans demanded original trilogy - so probably not. But I doubt fans would be angry about Remnant AT-ATs and Snowtroopers, as long as they remember to ask for them.
Also we are out of questions for August so write in.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 3,353: R4-6D0 (Droid Factory). This redeco droid includes a leg and sold out fast - I only got mine thanks to a brief window of restock on the Disney store site. While it's the same basic R4 body (with toe cables) we've been getting, there are new panel details that we haven't seen before like a box with split triangles or little white cut-outs. If you don't collect this stuff, it's probably not exciting, but it's a red and orange droid from The Mandalorian which actually feels fresh. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Guard Droid (with STAP, ActionVerse). This Target exclusive is pretty new, and has already been clearanced out all over town. I was planning on skipping this line entirely, but 75% off is a hard deal to pass up. The 4 1/2-inch droid is bigger than the 3 3/4-inch scale stuff we usually get, otherwise I'd recommend you all buy it. The vehicle is very good. The figure's construction and deco are great. My only real gripes are the beefy proportions and the changed scale. Had Hasbro kept this guy at 3 3/4-inches, $22 for a good figure and a good vehicle with a swamp stand and two launching rockets is quite a decent buy. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - We're back! A dinosaur's story, provided we are the dinosaurs. Thanks for your patience (and for the break), but most of all thank you for the questions.
This week's topics: Hasbro Hallways Playsets. Why aren't we getting more, bigger original trilogy items? Probably because of something you did. And why the slowdown? I almost didn't pick this one since it's arguably only interesting to me, but hey, I have a month to fill. July's questions are booked, so all I need now are new questions for August - send them as you see fit.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 3,353: Ahsoka Tano (Peridea, The Vintage Collection). As a redeco/retool figure, it's a good one. She has improved head detailing, a new belt, new arms and shoes, plus the colors match her "Gandalf the White" change on the show. And of course, she's cheap, because fans didn't flock to her after the show came out and abruptly went on a four-year hiatus. (Four years is a long time to wait for season two.) She has decent lightsabers and great paint, so if you skipped her? Get her now, while she's below retail price. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 3,353: Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper (Pauldron, The Vintage Collection). The dirt on the armor looks superb, the blasters are both good, and the pauldron makes him look different than the others in the set. I really like what Hasbro did here, and if you need more Stormtroopers this is a good one to add to the mix. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: B2EMO (Droid Factory build a figure). B2 sold out nearly immediately, and he's also just different enough to make you mad. The figure has some new green details missing from the previous release and a different level of weathering - and costs a lot more, because inflation. Is it worth getting if you never found the first one? Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mandalorian Privateer (Playset Pack-In, The Vintage Collection). This one came with the Imperial Light Cruiser which some lucky ducks found at Ross last year, and I was sadly not among them - it's still a pretty decent figure (and playset) for full price. And it's also more or less a redeco of parts you've bought of many other figures. That seems to be the way of things now. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Chopper (Imperial Disguise, The Vintage Collection). It's not new, but we had to look at it - the figure was almost a decade in the making. How come it took so long for a basic on-screen repaint? Well, I don't know, but I do know the black and red dome looks cool and it has an alternate radar dish that is going to be very easy for us to misplace. If you can still find this one, it's nifty - it just feels expensive at $19.9 (or higher.) Read on!
Good news, everyone! Many of you have submitted a lot of questions, so the mailbag is now ready to waste some of your Monday mornings once more starting July 6. (If more questions come in, it might be sooner.) I could use a little break, and it's always good for me to get ahead of things a bit - but keep checking back for other stuff worth posting as I can find it.
For those who insist on still not buying a ticket, The Mandalorian and Grogu is still in theaters - but not as many, and not the biggest screens. According to Box Office Mojo the film started at 4,300 screens, dropped to 3,355 last week, and dipped again to 2,680 on Friday. It reportedly brought in an estimated $1.3 million on Friday - not nothing - but it's starting to face a lot more competition and is likely to have passed $300 million globally by Monday.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 3,353: R5-PR0UD (Pride Collection, Droid Factory). It's the R5 mold we've been getting for years, but now it has a lot more paint applications and tons of color, plus some of the best silver shoes we've seen. A new blue Snaggletooth would look good in these. If your Pride robot collection needs at least one more droid, this is a good one - even the back is loaded with big, uniquely colored panels. Read on!
