Like an old Kenner figure, but bigger! Jawa (Kenner, The Black Series 6-Inch). It's still in stock on Amazon for $20, and I would argue it's very much worth it. Sure, it lacks one of the blasters from the previous release, but those cloth robes are super cool. Read on!

It's that time again! A checklist of new announcements and new releases can be found in Adam's Star Wars Newsletter #3. If you've watched all the streams, you won't find much new here - but there are a lot of new items to order and gawk at, and this is a quick way to find out what you didn't realize you missed. And it's done on a web site that's 1995 chic. Trendy!
Read it on the toilet. It won't take long and it'll tell you all the new Hasbro announcements you wanted to know.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Jaxxon (The Black Series 6-Inch). It's one of two characters I never actually expected to see as an action figure - and here it is. It's out right now. But you have to order it online if you want one. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: EG-01 (Droid Depot Line Look). It's boxy, but good - and compatible with the previous Power Droid domes, strangely enough. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: L4-R6 (Droid Depot Line Look). The droid looks like some of your other droids, but it has great dirty printing on it and a slightly different stencil template making it not like the legions of Hasbro and Disney droids you've bought over the last couple of decades. This week in Q&A - Distribution! Hasbro doesn't like to talk about it, and I don't like to either. Changing figure formats - just how high could prices get? All this and more await you!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: B-R72 (Droid Depot Line Look). It's part of a big droid boxed set being sold at Disney theme parks (or eBay) right now. If you can find it, and squint, maybe you'll see it as a DHL mascot. I like it. Read on!

We're almost out of Kenner retro figures to review - but I don't want to live in the present! Moff Gideon (The Retro Collection). The Darksaber is the old Bespin/Jedi Luke lightsaber, but in black. The blaster pistol is new. The vinyl cape is retro, and on this particular figure seems like a good stylistic choice despite the vinyl capes being phased out of new characters by 1982. Read on!
Today in just different enough to presumably make you mad: R5-Series Astromech Droid White with Red Panels (2015 Edition). Since they had the body, they repainted it, and we got some pretty nifty variations on the old Bounty Hunter droid. Mine has CZ arms, which look neat since one of the shoulders is painted a slightly different color. These things sometimes look like they were assembled by Jawas. Read on!
This week in Q&A - Vanishing books! Some things just vanish. New Ewoks based on old TV shows! In my dreams! And Size Matters are the new distribution issues.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: The Child (The Retro Collection). At $10, it's a pretty decent package with a little frog, the hover pram, a stand, and everything else you could want. The figure seems very much like a retro throwback, but you get way more stuff in the bubble than you would have 30ish years ago. Read on!
Today's focus is on this new release: IG-11 (The Retro Collection). Because the 1980s never ended for some of us, Hasbro made figures that look like old Kenner releases. IG-11 looks a lot like IG-88, only softer, missing a few details, and not quite as perfect as gripping the blasters - but it's still pretty great. I also appreciate they elected to go with the "Credit Collection" red coloring to set it apart. Read the whole review.
