As the clock strikes midnight, fans are once again venturing to their local movie theaters to see Star Wars in the big screen and in 3D. AMC Theaters across the country will be giving away FREE Hasbro Fighter Pods. On Friday and Saturday, a limited edition Anakin Skywalker PodRacer glasses will also be given out to the first 3-400 theatergoers while supplies last.

Hasbro issued their Toy Fair press release breaking down their several brands, a few of which are hitting the big screen this year, including Star Wars of course. In their Star Wars announcement, they highlight their new Fighter Pods micro figure line and Star Wars AMP'D: "For the first time ever, kids will be able to quickly and easily customize the most iconic STAR WARS vehicles and prepare them for any mission: land, space, sea or air! In 2012, the line features 9 figures and 6 vehicles."
McDonalds will be promoting the release of The Phantom Menace 3D by incuding Star Wars Spinners with every Happy Meals purchase, Fans can collect up to eight character themed spinners beginning February 10th at participating McDonalds restaurants.
We've been doing this for over 12 years (except Pawlus, who has been in the thick of things since '95) and this stuff never gets old. There's always a sense of anticipation on what's to be revealed by Hasbro this Saturday for their Toy Fair Collector Media Event. We've already seen a glimpse of the MTT and a few figures from the U.K. Toy Fair, but we are raring to go to show what else Hasbro has in store for 2012 and perhaps 2013.
