Another Clone Trooper! New sculpts aren't too common, but this is a new one. Is it great? Does it need some work? Read on, and vote in the new poll about the second wave of Star Wars Movie Heroes figures too!
My flight just landed, but I wrote up this Rum Sleg a while ago. It's pretty awesome, and sadly is not part of the Episode I Redux going on right now. It's a solid design, if a little weird, and feels very Star Wars-y despite
Yakface.com has confirmed that the new line look for 2013 will be Yoda for the anticipated 3D release of Episode II: Attack of the Clones. "The packaging uses a sweeping black/green theme and utilizes design cues and textures found on Geonosis", according to Yakface.
2011 was, to put it mildly, a lackluster year for Star Wars action figure collecting. Lackluster in that it didn’t quite meet the promise of 2010, where The Vintage Collection was launched with such alacrity and The Clone Wars line churning out great episodes and figures. Last year, we had distribution issues, waves of figures that were held back, and even other waves that were found on discount pegs at TJ Maxx before you even found them at a Target.
LEGO announced a renewal of their Star Wars license at Toy Fair translating a successful thirteen years of not only fun and creative construction sets, but also a transformation into a global property that also includes theme parks, video games, and television. Not that the construction sets have played second fiddle either. LEGO reported over 200 million sets sold since 1999, making it one of the most successful toy lines.
Toy Fair 2012 is in full swing, and as always Hasbro presents to fan media one day early showing off the toys of the year, and this year for Star Wars they showed the MTT vehicle, new figures in Vintage and Movie Heroes lines, Fighter Pods, Amp'd vehicles, the Jar Jar in Carbonite SDCC exclusive, and more! On this Star Wars Action News, you can hear the entire Hasbro Star Wars brand presentation, and Arnie and Marjorie run down the highs and lows of the presentation.
So, Clone Commander Jet. I know what you want to read is commentary on Toy Fair, but, as a member of the toy industry, I'm in meetings and trying to figure out how to cram a pile of paperwork into a carry-on bag with my dirty socks. I'll try to write something on the plane or as soon as I can get sme decent time to collect my notes. This trooper was delayed, and features a unique accessory.
We've just listed a variety of cool new items based on information revealed at Toy Fair as well as a few cool new arrivals - here are some of the highlights:

There's more on the way for 2012 including a new Pilots Battle Pack with Porkins and Tiree and an Ewoks set with Kneesa and Teebo courtesy of POTF2.com. We like the nod to the animated series with the Ewoks set but did Porkins go on a Slim Fast diet?.
Here's a video of the new BMF for 2012, the Trade Federation MTT. It comes with a lot of electronic sounds, a motorized retractable compartment for the battle droid army, and a lot of other play features that may or may not justify the $130-140 price tag for you.. Check out the video ahead!
