UPDATE: MyDisneyShop's selling it online. $14.99 + shipping. It does not appear to be run by Disney, but the price seems lowest so far.
The pumpkin-themed BB-BOO20 is showing up at Disney parks - and maybe elsewhere - across the USA. While the theme parks are closed, eBay is open - and that's where we're seeing these now. They're about $13 in stores, so when buying yours keep in mind tax is a couple of bucks and shipping is usually $5 or less.
The figure is a redeco fo the popular build-a-droid format BB droids we've been seeing for a few years, so they split in the middle and have removable heads. They're neat.
The Boba Fett (Carbonzed Graphite, The Black Series 6-Inch) is stunning. For a toy you got in 2013, this metallic deco really makes every last crease and ding pop. If you're happy with your old Boba Fett you owe it to yourelf to look at this one, if you have the opportunity. As a de facto online exclusive (plus or minus a comic shop) that probably means you should just buy one. Read on!
The Gonk Droid (Droid Factory Line Look) changes colors from a 1970s blue to a 1990s grey! It's cool. Well, when it's cool, it's blue, and when it's warm it goes grey. It also comes with a playset. Read on!
This week in Q&A - Happy 25 years of toy journalism-ish, me! Oh wait, that's not a question. But collector engagement brings up some issues! And so does warped cards and weird pre-orders in the middle of the night. That seems about where we are now.
Be sure you send in your questions for next time. Read on!
R5-D23 (Droid Factory Line Look) was an exclusive from D-23, a convention for when people used to gather for conventions to celebrate Disney, a company that used to put movies into theaters. It's a redeco R5-D4 mold with a nifty hat - unlike the previous releases, this one lacks Mickey Mouse ears. It's neat! But it's not as colorful as the R4-D23. Read on!
While a lot of the Disney-made droid figures are derived from Hasbro elements, this C1 Astromech (Color-Changing Droids, Droid Factory Line Look) is better than Hasbro's 3 3/4-inch releases. Chopper here has articulated arms and a pop-out data widget like the previous release, but can also change color - he turns black when he's chilled! If you touch it during the summer, it's going to turn classic orange real fast. It's a good figure from a four-pack at a Galaxy's Edge theme park shop that you can't (or maybe shouldn't) visit right now, but is it worth getting the set? Read on!
This week in Q&A - Crowdfunding! It's still popular. Third party stuff! Bootlegs, fan-made, knockoffs, it's a complicated world and Hasbro brought the hammer down on one manufacturer this week. And Tonnika sisters, because that's a thing we talk about and who doesn't love disappointment? It's something to read at home when you're not working or watching Floor Is Lava.

Reality is catching up with Hollywood this week as we pass denial, anger, bargaining, and everything else to get to the acceptance of the summer 2020 blockbuster season - and probably the holiday theatrical season - not happening. Mulan has been removed off the slate without a moving release date. Bill & Ted Face the Music will now get a September VOD release. But what may interest you, dear readers, is that The Hollywood Reporter reports that:
Mulan was among numerous changes made to Disney's release calendar. All currently scheduled Avatar and Star Wars films are being delayed by a year. Avatar 2 moves from Dec. 17, 2021 to Dec. 16, 2022; Avatar 3 moves from Dec. 22, 2023 to Dec. 20, 2024; Avatar 4 from Dec. 19, 2025 to Dec. 18, 2026; and Avatar 5 from Dec. 17, 2027 to Dec. 22, 2028.
It's Dak Ralter (The Black Series 6-Inch)! This comes with the Snowspeeder vehicle, which is feature-packed and has a kind of a crummy clear plastic used for the glass canopy. Otherwise it's all splendid and worthwhile. Read on!
Coming soon to Target, Galaxy's Edge The Black Series 6-inch Captain Cardinal Action Figure. Or "Who?"
The world is changing, and Star Wars fandom has quietly changed from the 1990s original-trilogy focused marketing to kids of the 1970s - which arguably peaked with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - to an attempt to try to make it a franchise for all people. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The young-skewing Resistance series just sort of got swept under the rug - and it feels like The Rise of Skywalker is joining it. To promote the era of the First Order, there are lots of comics, lots of books, and a giant theme park experience that a lot of people just plain can't go see right now. Captain Cardinal is part of that. It's a new generation of fan, and one that the olds probably didn't have the time to read up on before being shown this shiny new figure.
Basically a red Stormtrooper in a cape, the figure has two blasters and even though I have not and probably will not read the novel from which he came, I can say it's a cool figure. I'll buy a red Stormtrooper. Heck, that's something I pushed hard to do a few years ago. But I digress - Hasbro says:
You might recognize this one from a gift set last year. Star Wars Galaxy's Edge The Black Series DJ R-3X seems identical to the gift set version [FOTD #2,618] except packaging and the other figures that are now missing from the box. It's a nice droid - lots of deco, lots of moving parts, and it's colorful too! I'd get it if you can. It's $24.99. Hasbro wrote:
Let's get this out of the way: it's $399.99. The revised The Legacy Collection Millennium Falcon is now the Galaxy's Edge Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run Vehicle. It's just different enough to make you mad, with unique deco and two radar dishes. The original 1977-style pizza dish is there, as is the rectangular sequel trilogy model. Dirt deco is unique, and it has different figures. Chewbacca, Hondo Ohnaka, and Porgs are included. Is it worth more than a 2x price increase over 13 years? Probably.
Long gone and originally planned for Toys R Us, the Stormtrooper with Blast Accessories (The Black Series 6-Inch) became a shared exclusive with a Disney Store debut. It's the same basic Stormtrooper, minus the long rifle, but with added blast effects and a 2-part display stand which doesn't connect to much of anything else. Read on!
Also not quite SDCC-exclusive are Pulse's pricey box set at $110. Due in September, this Heroes of Endor figure set includes four figures, a Speeder Bike, and 6 accessories - or maybe more, it's hard to tell. In it, we see Endor Poncho Luke, Leia minus the poncho - we're unclear if it's included at press time - Han Solo sans Endor Trenchcoat, and Paploo. It's a curious combo platter, and we don't even know if the helmets are removable yet.
More information on Han's coat or Leia's poncho if and when we get it. As of now, this is the only known place to get Paploo. With Teebo sold separately, these mark the first 6-inch scale Ewok action figures in this line.
Here's what Hasbro has to say:
