Übercollector and Star Wars ambassador of fandom Steve Sansweet took some time to answer a few questions for Galactic Hunter and discuss his newly published Star Wars: The Ultimate Action Figure Collection. What are his top 3 collecting moments? His favorite action figures? Does he really collect everything from a galaxy far, far away? Read our interview after the jump!
From our sponsors at Brian's Toys: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Brian's Toys! As the year winds down, we will be spending extra time with our family and friends. Just a reminder that Brian's Toys will be closed from December 22nd to December 25th, as well as on January 1st, 2013.
It's a blue R9-Series Astromech Droid! It's at Star Tours in Orlando, so if you want one, it'll cost you. I think it's worth it. The figure, I mean. The trip? Who knows. I don't know where you live. Maybe it'll be worth escaping the terrors that is the holiday season.
This Pit Droid came out earlier in the year and was sold in a few configurations. It's the same figure, though. Did you get one? You probably should.
Check out the latest Dark Horse comics coming to you in March including the third issue of Star Wars #3 with awesome cover art by Alex Ross. In Dark Times - Fire Carrier #2, Vader grooms a new assassin for the Empire. View all the titles after the jump!
Amazon is now selling the M.T.T. (Multi-Troop Transport) for $78.62 (regularly $149.99) and ships FREE with Super Saver Shipping! Click here to order!
This R2-D2 is pretty amazing. Downsized and packed with features, it's actually worth the ten bucks. Those glasses? Removable. The lightsaber pops up, a sensorscope is included, this is really the best R2-D2 you can buy. Except it's shorter than every other Astromech you own.
Have you see this year's Gentle Giant Holiday Bust for Star Wars? It's Jar Jar Binks with a nifty santa hat and electronic lights! Numbered and limited to barely over 200 units, this particular version does not include Wald as a companion piece, but there is a swell magnetic base which masks the bust's "on" switch. There are multiple light blinking modes, and yes, we've got a video after the jump.
Possibly appearing in an underpriced 8-pack at a Walmart near you, this late-arriving Obi-Wan Kenobi is actually pretty good. I hate that the battery is sealed inside, but the design other than that isn't half bad. He's bulkier to fit the electronics, but the removable "skirt" lets him sit and the detail is quite good. Should you get one?
It's the Shock Trooper, 2012 style! The sculpt is thinner, the deco is crisp, but it lacks some of the damage from before. I like it. And thankfully, you can probably find it out. Want to know more?
If you're still looking for singles or extras to open of the final internet only wave of The Vintage Collection, then look no further as Amazon now has most of them marked down to $4.93 (and $3.25 for the Discover The Force re-packs!).
