Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,780

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, April 10, 2012

While not called out on the front of the box, this ARF Trooper is basically Trapper from the really cool Geonosis story arc.  There were zombies and dirt, which I hear kids love.  Should you get him?  Does he look like Waxer and Boil?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,779

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, April 9, 2012

It's interesting to see that this Battle Droid is getting another run, and is one of the oldest figures to get a redeco in the line's run. (First issue 1998, this issue 2012.)  So the STAP is quite different, but how about the figure?  Read on!

Q&A: Think Big: Big Vehicles, Big Figures, Big Television, and Other Big Ideas

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, April 8, 2012

So let's talk about vehicles, and get a little less optimistic for 2012 in that department. Why isn't Hasbro better exploiting TV series based on its core properties for new toys? A fine question. And why hasn't Hasbro given us a Marvel Legends-ish line yet? Would someone please tell me, because I'd like to know in this week's Q&A!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,778

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, April 6, 2012

It's Hasbro, and it comes with a new Astromech droid, so Jedi Mickey oddly makes the cut for Figure of the Day.  Is it worth it? No. But you're bored at work so read on!

Image Bank: VC92 Anakin Skywalker

By Mike — Friday, April 6, 2012

Deviations from the normal course can at times turn into disaster, and then there are the few instances where it results into brilliant execution. The new Clone Wars "realistic" Anakin Skywalker has to be considered the best one of this character yet. Don't believe me? Take a look at the comparison shot with VC13 Anakin Skywalker to make you marvel in its superiority.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,777

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, April 5, 2012

Oola-la!  This super-articulated take on Jabba's ex-dancer and pet snack turned out quite well and has her costume rendered largely in soft goods, which is, to say the least, unusual.  Check her out!

Image Bank: VC93 Darth Vader

By Mike — Thursday, April 5, 2012

Let's get this out of the way. That cardback is infallible like a holy relic and brings geeky tears to my eyes. Having a Darth Vader on a Kenner Star Wars card brings back so many memories, it's like an old childhood friendship rekindled. The action figure, while not entirely perfect, is pretty awesome too.

Image Bank: VC94 Imperial Navy Commander

By Mike — Thursday, April 5, 2012

Imperial Navy Commander? Death Star Trooper? Why not keep it traditional planet obliterating evil with Death Squad Commander? The cardback is beautifully and nostalgically Kenner and the figure itself is certainly the best iteration of this character yet.
