Thanks to our pal Seth, we have been alerted to this fine item. The Star Wars Logo Display Case came out in Japan a few months ago and sells for about US $24. It has room to fit a few figures or small vehicles, or what any collector might refer to as an adorable first day of being in the hobby. It's stylish and classy, which clashes with the gargantuan toy hordes in our homes and offices.
Hasbro's PR team kindly sent along a press release with many new and some neewish exclusives! More are coming this fall, but for now, here's a look at what you can expect on (or around) Friday, September 30. None of the 3 3/4-inch figure exclusives are listed here, but 6-inch, prop replicas, Nerf guns, and more await you after the jump.
If you love droids - and let's be honest, if you don't, we can't be friends - you'll be excited and/or irritated to know that another in an ongoing series of cute Disney exclusive carded droids is up for grabs. Only the second new one this year, R2-B00 is up for grabs at or near Disneyland now - check the stores in that general area and this green, purple, orange, and black droid can be yours for about $12.95. For those keeping track - so far - as of right now - no new parts in the make-your-own-droid bins have surfaced, saving you all from mild heart attacks for a litle longer.
In case you forgot, DisneyXD still has Star Wars Rebels and the season 3 premiere is hours away. And has Grand Admiral Thrawn. And StarWars.com posted details here if you ignored them earlier because you were too busy playing that AM2R Metroid remake game, and we totally understand.
The only new Leia from the new movie, Princess Leia Organa was a Walmart exclusive that, despite very strange eyebrows, is otherwise not bad. Cloth bits, a decent sculpt, and better articulation than her outfit can make use of, if/when you find her she's the only game in town. Hopefully we'll see a General Resistance/Vest version next. The First Order Stormtrooper was a pain to find last year when this 3 3/4-inch boxed figure debuted as a Walmart exclusive. It still is, but it was back then, too. He's got more joints and less gear than the other 3 3/4-inch releases, so is he worth it? Read on!
This week in Q&A - Poe's Head! Can you switch them up? And Disney Droid Domes - did you miss a wave in 2016? Lastly, Rogue One Toy Selection - how are we doing?
And send in your questions for next week. Read on!
Hey kids, it's Poe Dameron! This is the good one - the 3 3/4-inch Walmart exclusive from The Black Series. It has a helmet, lots of articulation, and the best portrait at this size so far. Read on!
This week in Q&A - Exclusives!. Are there any known big ones planned for Force Friday or even this year? And LEGO vs. Hasbro Revisited - let's review again! And vehicles - believe it or not, they're mostly developed with kids in mind!
And send in your questions for next week. Read on!
It's Maz Kanata! She's in a boxed set, the Takodana Encounter, and is likely on clearance at a big box store near you right now. Why pay full price? Go get one, it's worth it. Read on!
If you love Star Wars and you love vinyl, there's something awesome coming September 30. Amazon posted a pre-order for a new, double LP set in a clear plastic jacket. You can see McQuarrie art and the Death Star right on it. It's pretty great! If you need a record player, you can find them at virtually any big box store in the USA without a problem. The same cannot be said for actual records.
From Star Wars Rebels, it's the Fifth Brother! He's an Inquisitor with a double-bladed lightsaber and a big claw. And a big hat! What else could you ask for? Read on!
