This one has a play feature - his lightsaber can be split in half, as have so many, so you can use it as one accessory or as two. The sculpt is very good, with an expressive face and some very pointy horns. Hasbro did such a good job n this mold that you can see why they wanted to repaint it for an exclusive, even if it's a weird fit. Having said that,  this particular movie-specific figure may be in a store near you right now, too. I'd recommend it. Read on!

Here's an interesting one - Goliath Games is making a Power Saber, which is a new non-licensed laser sword toy. Why are we mentioning it here? The Verge has an article titled "How Star Wars walked away from the world’s first self-retracting lightsaber toy" that kind of says it all.

The electronic toy is very "a lightsaber with the trademarks filed off," so no official sounds, and a generic hilt await this fully-extending blade which works through a screw mechanism. It's a really neat idea, but it's reportedly very loud and I assume kids (and fans) will be much less interested given the price combined with the lack of a license.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Grand Admiral Thrawn (Rebels, The Vintage Collection). Taking the book character, and making him a cartoon, and making a live-action version of the cartoon version of the book character, is certainly a novel idea. It recycles some other movie figure parts, and it will again be recycled with the Ahsoka Thrawn in the future - with other new parts. As such this is something of a transitional figure, so if you skip it, you might be in good shape. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: CH-33P (Cheep, The Vintage Collection). If you didn't get the gold in Paris, maybe you can get one on eBay. This droid isn't C-3PO, but he comes from the droid bins that, sadly, no longer exist. He also looks pretty close to The Clone Wars version, but since it uses the Chopper body the torso and one of the legs don't match. You do get a new dome, and the old body is painted to look more or less like the on-screen robot. For a $70 set, it would have been nice to have had the correct body and limbs though. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Boba Fett (Epic Hero Series). It's fantastic - but not for everybody. If you were a Kenenr kid, this will feel like a roughly 1990s release with sturdy joints, awesome accessories, and a giant rocket-firing backpack that he can wear and stay standing. Deco is good, sculpt is excellent, and its ability to balance seems shocking giving how many The Vintage Collection guys just face-plent without a heavy backpack. I recommend him. Read on!

It's the same as the spring 2023 figure, which is a remake of the 1983 figure, except this time it doesn't have a blaster and the cloak is black. Is it worth it? Well, it'd cost you about $10 for a fan-made black cloak so may as well get the official one. Read on!

According to Variety, 'The Acolyte' Is Dead: 'Star Wars' Series Won't Return for Season 2. While not a terrible show, it did spend 8 episodes repeating itself, but had a really good Dark Sider actor/costume and a lot of really good performers. This may be the fastest we've seen a Star Wars show get news of a non-pick-up for a second season, and I assume the clock is ticking on if this might get disappeared like Willow at some point. 

This week in Star Wars Q&A - a HasLab Blockade Runner - yay or nay? I'm less hopeful. Hasbro's been choking when it comes to figures that can reach out and touch someone. And would we need a new Vader for it? Probably, yeah.
