Just in time for the Holidays (or even Halloween), Sears and Lucasfilm partner up on cute and fuzzy official Star Wars slippers for youth and toddler sizes that are priced to sell for an affordable $12.99.
Check out this week's pre-orders and recently arrived items from our sponsors at BigBadToyStore! Pre-orders include stuff from the new Angry Birds assortment, the latest from Gentle Giant, and Star Wars Bear Bricks!
Gentle Giant has announced their latest product and they're pretty fantastic. How fantastic you say? There's a new Sy Snootles minibust, a cooler than Hoth AT-AT bookend, and last but certainly not least, the must have Jumbo Vintage Power Droid (Gonk!) !
This Count Dooku figure from the earlier Clone Wars TV series turned out really well. Check out the cape lining, nifty eyebrows, and fantastic pose. This is a great figure, and like the others from this line, it may as well be free now. Did you get yours yet, and should you?
She was one of the hits at Sideshow's Comic-Con booth this past summer and now's your chance to place your pre-order for the amazing Premium Format Shaak-Ti!
It's weird, but not unheard of that a figure becomes famous for his gun. This Sandtrooper is a huge improvement over the 2010 Vintage release, and it includes most of the same stuff with an added pair of bonus items. One is a Special Edition-inspired Probe Droid. The other, a unique rifle with an artculated three-piece design which puts it in line with the vintage Kenner 3-Position Laser Rifle. With creeping price increases, this is a good way to add value to a repaint.
We're back to The Clone Wars with "Front Runners," which is the second part in an ongoing story of Jedi-fueled rebellion on Onderon. The fight of the Onderon people against the Separatists continue, bringing us more time with Saw and Steela Gerrera and a fair amount of action sequences, plus more than a few throwbacks to a number of battles in the saga. As always, spoilers and video await you!
The deco is good, but the sculpting is great. Tons of articulation make this Scout Trooper the perfect companion to the new exclusive Speeder Bike, with additional head articulation improving your life in so many ways. I assume you know you'll have to buy this one.
The big show is over and we've uploaded over an additional 100 photos for your viewing pleasure of the NYCC exhibit floor. I love browsing the dealer booths in hopes of finding a good deal on a few older or vintage pieces that I need in my collection, and while I don't have $60,000 in spare change to bid on a copy of Avengers #1, the looking and picking are always fun from t-shirts to posters, and of course, plastic.
In 2007 Matthew Reinhart brought a new dimension to Star Wars books with Star Wars: A Pop Up Guide to the Galaxy, a book that helped redefine what a pop-up book could be for Star Wars fans. It quickly became a New York Times Bestseller and now Matthew is back with his follow up--Star Wars: A Galactic Pop-Up Adventure. General Grievous, Acklay, and more, this book has light up features, sounds, and so much more!
Dark Horse releases their solicitations for January with some exciting new titles including the new Star Wars series... just as you remember it and as you've never seen it before, with an awesome premiere cover by Alex Ross!
From our sponsors at Brian's Toys: Earlier this week, Angry Birds Star Wars was announced. A few moments later, Hasbro announced a whole new toyline to release alongside the app's release. Brian's Toys has all the pre-orders you are looking for, including the Early Bird Pack, AT-AT Attack, Koosh, and many more! Also new for pre-orders are a new Transformers Prime Shared Exclusive.
Today let's look at the Orlando-exclusive Black R5-Series Astromech Droid. It has orange markings on the top of the head, but is otherwise largely black and silver. Cool? Yes. Read on!
Let's talk Star Wars Angry Birds! It doesn't bother me, but it apparently bugs the daylights out of you! Should you hold your breath for a Z-95 Headhunter in the near future? I wouldn't. And heck, why not talk Star Trek because we've got room. All this and more await you in Q&A! Send in your questions for next week's column, too!
This week in Galactic Hunter Video Theater, it's more fun out-of-print goodness! Back in 1985, Saturday morning TV had The Ewoks and Droids Adventure Hour on ABC. You got 22 minutes of Ewoks, and 22 minutes of robots. Today, we look at The White Witch, the first normal-length episode of Droids which introduced us to things like Tig Fromm, Vlix, and a strange need of R2-D2 and C-3PO to be "owned." (There's a metaphor for a bad marriage in there somewhere.) Check out the full episode after the break.
