At the Star Wars Disney Store event, one of the better value items was a trio of what they refer to as Fig Sets. There are no fruity treats included as the name may imply, but rather six, roughly three-inch figures in a decent box for a pretty low price.
So far we only got a glimpse at sets from the original three movies, and it seems to be a stunning start. Read on for more!
The folks at Funko gives us a nice sneak peek of their Star Wars Pop! figures Series 6 just in time fror Star Wars Day. This assortment includes the Wampa (super sized at 6 inches!), Luke Hoth, Bossk, The Emperor, Hammerhead, and a Biker Scout. Peep out the images after the jump!
Disney gave us a hands-on heavily embargoed look at a new Star Wars app last week called Star Wars Journeys: The Phantom Menace. While sort of a neat throwback - it's an iOS take on the classic Buena Vista storybook + record sets some of us had in kids mashed up with trivia and a video game - it's also aimed at people much shorter and younger than the average reader of sites like this one.
Follow us on Twitter @Galactichunter and @Adam16bit - we'll be giving away free codes to download this one!
Featuring lush art and amazing voiceover work by James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi and others on The Clone Wars), it's $6.99 and will be on the iTunes store roughly nowish.
Sideshow is now taking pre-orders for their amazing life-sized Boba Fett. Created in collaboration with the talented prop replica specialists at Tom Spina Designs, this magnificent six-and-a-half foot tall replica is so realistic, you’ll swear he jumped right off the Slave I!
The Disney Store retail outlets are fortunate enough to have a parent company that seems to have a real lust for developing its newfound intellectual properties. Sure, there are toys to be had, and lunch boxes, and kid-size shirts, but now you can get mugs too. Excited? Well, it's a mug, what do you want from me?
Read on for more! Or don't.
Last week, Star Wars and Disney bloggers were at the House of Mouse to check out new toys including Disney's own 12 3/4-inch scale electronic Star Wars action figures. It's important to note that these are not 1:6 scale (12-inch figures) - Luke is taller at 12 3/4-inches, with other characters like Darth Vader and Chewbacca exceeding 14-inches.
Each figure has a lot of articulation plus electronic lights and sounds - a decent deal at $29.99, wouldn't you say? Read on for more!
