Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Admiral Ackbar (Kenner, The Black Series 6-Inch). It's a Pulse item that got shared, and it has less paint and costs more. That's democracy for you. I like this one better because the red plastic of the skin shows off the sculpted detail in a much better way, and also, I loved the 1983 original. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Dark Trooper (The Rescue, The Vintage Collection). While I find most variants on figures tiring, army builders are a bit of an exception and there's something endlessly amusing by thinking that someone said "Do you know what's orange and looks good on this figure?" in a Hasbro pitch meeting. He joins such luminaries as Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, Super Battle Droids, and unarmored Darth Vader in the "on fire" club. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder, Prototype Edition - Purple Head, The Retro Collection). If you don't remember getting one in 1982, that's because it's based on a 2020 release that came with a board game. It's pretty good - I particularly like the fact it comes with a new color of Kenner lightsaber! Well, some of them do - depending on which variant you get. I hear this delayed figure is alrady being marked down at select Targets, so happy hunting. Read on!

Also these Star Wars items are in stock while supplies last.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Boba Fett (Tython, Jedi Ruins, The Black Series). It's a little like the non-exclusive figure, but with more damage paint and a different belt - I like it! Heck, I think it's one of the better figures. But is it worth the upcharge? Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Axe Woves (The Black Series). It's a good one! An existing body was used with a different head and some different color configurations to deliver unto you another Mandalorian for your armies. Read on!
If you like indie toys - and dagnabbit, I'm trying to make you like them - you'll want to see the new Healey Made Raider (Bulloch) action figure. Made with Kennery goodness in mind, this not-quite-Tarkin/Boba Fett/Cobra Commander figure is $25.00 and will probably be sold out at some point in the middle of the week. (It's also painted to match the Trooper (Bulloch) figure we reviewed recently.) Click here to check availability.
For those keeping track, this is the whopping 36th colorway of this figure since its debut in 2019.
Fan production house Stan Solo Creation's Etsy Shop put up a lot of new stuff recently, including the Stan Solo Glow in the Dark Force Ghosts set.
I picked up a few Stan Solo figures and the quality is generally really good. The sculpting cuts are deep and the accessories look like the real deal, but are just off enough to tell they're reproductions.
Fan production house The Next 17 put up a smattering of new Kenner-style figures today. These are fan-made figures at a high price. New additions include Hem Dazon, Feltipern Trevagg, Dr. Evazan, Wuher, Lak Sivrak, and some others. Check 'em out here.
Via the Glyos News Dump: New Healey Made Raider Saturday, February 4. The Raiders are pretty fantastic figures and have come in dozens of colorways so far. They're not cheap, but they're about as close as you can get to a new old Kenner-style action figure... and I include Hasbro's own Kenner-style figures in the mix. These are generally, in terms of sculpt, closer to the original (old) article.
I really like these guys. Click here for a review of the Shadow Raider and click here for a look at the Revenge Raider.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Aayla Secura (The Black Series). In the not-too-distant future, right now A.D., there as a guy named Adam not too different from you or me. And you should really just relax for Figure of the Day #3,000 - which is a milestone for what kicked off as a filler feature with diminishing returns. Thankfully, the figure is excellent and Hasbro did a great job with her. It's strange that she has pre-2020-style knees, but one of last year's finer figures is a keeper. Read on!
Hasbro posted its latest Star Wars Fanstream Wednesday morning. There's a lot to take in, and I have a checklist of all the new names for pipeline reveals and actual reveals (and the embedded video) after the jump. So if you want The Black Series and The Vintage Collection, read more. But the most important thing are the Kenner-style The Retro Collection figures! A new The Book of Boba Fett wave was revealed in name only, and it looks like one heck of a wave.
Target will get another "Prototype" figure, this time it's The Mandalorian (the vinyl cape one) - but what makes it interesting is "Kenner blue" accessories. That's a selling point. The new wave of new characters includes Boba Fett (Desert/Nomad), Mando (new), Grogu (new), Luke Skywalker (Jedi, "refresh"), Fennec Shand, Cad Bane, Krrsantan, and a Tusken Raider. That's eight new or newish figures, and no droids, but at least we get some aliens that might be fun.

Well, they can't all feel like a great deal: Grogu (The Black Series). It's the accessories from the somewhat more-expensive-than-he-should-be $10 figure with a floating egg for $25. He's guaranteed to sell, the paint is fine, he's cute, but you might cringe and grit your teeth when you see him next to other $25 figures. You might cringe and grit your teeth when you see him next to $10 figures, because there's no level of "pretty good" that makes up for "this would be puny if it were a 3 3/4-inch release and it's a 6-inch release." If we cannot be free, at least we can be cheap. Amazon has Star Wars Retro Collection Boba Fett (Morak) Toy 3.75-Inch-Scale The Mandalorian Collectible Action Figures on sale for $5.49 which, adjusted for inflation, is still a preposterously cheap price.
Heck, $5.49 shipped is a pretty good price just to steal his blaster for your old Boba Fett figures.
This is one of my favorite figures out of Hasbro in recent years, and I'd say if you still buy from Amazon it's worth their selling it too cheaply for you to get one. Click here to check availability.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Darth Maul (The Black Series). This is a pretty excellent figure - the facial expression is superb, the head spikes are spiky, the outfit is good, and the articulation is great. If you like this costume, this is a very good figure of it. Read on!
