I've been writing about toys for years and there have been countless recall rumors - who could forget "C-3PO and the speeder bike have lead paint" in 1995? Or "Carrie Fisher had Leia recalled because the face looks bad"? None of these were true - but there were faulty lightsaber electronics a few years later, and now we have a new one! According to the CPSC, Hallmark Recalls Cad Bane Christmas Tree Ornaments Due to Risk of Mold Exposure. Sometimes a cargo container comes to America on a boat and springs a leak, and that moisture can cause mold to spread on products which are, generally, disposed of.

Naturally, this probably will result in few going back and eBay getting a Mattel Wicked-style (small) surge of interest.  And if you haven't heard that story  yet, well, you're in for a treat!

An added bonus on this recall is the edition size - apparently, Hallmark made about 11,000 units. I assumed the runs were higher!
