This Stormtrooper (Galaxy of Adventures) is in tubes and possibly in a store near you. The detail and plastic are above and beyond what we've seen in the past, as is his height.   It's pretty spectacuar, and you're being charged accordingly.  Is it worth it?  Yes.  Is it worth army building at that price?  Read on!

This L3-37 (The Black Series 6-Inch)  is a nifty release from Solo: A Star Wars Story. She has a lot of astromech parts and is a self-made bot according to lore!  The articulation is good, the deco is nice, and the design is totally unique.  Read on!

Star Wars goes Kenner! Six reissues and one new vintage-style "ReAction"-esque figure are seemingly exclusive to Target, and of course sold out preorders in seconds. Hopefully Target and Hasbro don't pull a Spinosaurus and keep them coming all year long!

Star Wars: The Black Series! The 6-inch line showed very little you hadn't seen (or seen hinted at) before. The presentation had Doctor Aphra and her droids, plus the previously seen Chopper and Ezra Bridger. More surprising were 20th Anniversary Episode I "vintage" packaging for Celebration in Chicago.

Star Wars gets too real! $80 for Hasbro's most decked-out Darth Vader ever. A metal skeleton boasting more articulation than ever before inside a soft rubber skin makes one wonder what that means for long-term viability, but the A+ deco and optional hands might make you just buy it anyway.

Playsets! Vehicles! Reissues! Retools!  Hasbro takes you on a rollercoaster of love for the first 30 minutes of Return of the Jedi in The Vintage Collection this year. Exclusives are coming - some presoldout out before the official announcement - so buckle up for a fascinating and frustrating year!

Kid stuff!  While it's all kid stuff, this is the stuff they assume collectors don't want.  Galactic Heroes, Galaxy of Adventures, and Micro Force offered little new - it all leaked or was announced.  Or is on shelves!  Check it out.

Lucasfilm confirmed that October 4, 2019 is Triple Force Friday. That means the launch for the first toys for THe Mandalorian, Episode IX, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be shipped to stores that were already so over midnight toy launches a few years ago.

We got a new Star Wars movie in 2018, but people didn't see it.  The name didn't appear on the toy packages.  You couldn't even get its star as a basic figure - Han Solo only came as a pack-in during the Solo: A Star Wars Story launch in theaters.  While not everyone loves all the new movies, it's hard to fathom why you wouldn't give kids access to the movie's title character in the basic assortment - as far as I know, for any franchise, this is kind of unprecedented. The figure was packed with a sound reader, which itself required a firmware update that wasn't offered for weeks after launch - and as of today, still isn't fully functional.  But was the figure nice? Read on!

Another new classic Original Trilogy figure? Two in one year? We're being spoiled!  Klaatu (Skiff Guard, The Vintage Collection) hadn't been retouched this century, so a remake seemed timely.  It seems to have more color than the actual costume from the movie, and the exceptional kind of articulation that qualifies as "standard" in 2019.  You know you want one - I assume you're buying one.  Read on!
