Lucasfilm confirmed that October 4, 2019 is Triple Force Friday. That means the launch for the first toys for THe Mandalorian, Episode IX, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be shipped to stores that were already so over midnight toy launches a few years ago.
For those keeping track, Walmart basically put out The Last Jedi stuff whenever it felt like and ignored any special launches for Rogue One and Solo, as did Target. Toys R Us also put out its Solo produt up to a month early, and some indie retailers just put the stuff on the shelves for some of the last few movies - if they even had it.
It's worth noting that this launch is during New York Comic Con.
Will Hasbro incentivize everybody with cool exclusives and make one big party, or 20 years after The Phantom Menace launch is everybody over trying to make this a thing? Only time will tell.
