Star Wars Mission Fleet! Rising plastic costs have been a strike against good toy vehicles since the 1980s, with Hasbro having to find clever or different ways to make smaller or different ships for your figures. In 2020, the next attempt is Mission Fleet - a series-spanning line with original trilogy, prequel, and TV-based ships. There don't seem to be any Disney-era movie items in here, it's just Lucasfilm-era stuff and The Mandalorian. It's neat.
The smaller-scale figures and ships do a pretty good job playing the hits, which gives you limited chronological interaction. From the original film there's the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing, and Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. A Boba Fett figure with a winged backpack is also on deck.
From The Mandalorian is a set with the title character, a bike, and the child - this is a gem.
Fans of the prequels and The Clone Wars may enjoy Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter, modeled after the Revenge of the Sith version. Joining him from The Clone Wars are Obi-Wan Kenobi's BARC Speeder, Captain Rex on an AT-RT, Spider Darth Maul, Ahsoka Tano, and arguably flexibly placed Wookieecopter and Clone Trooper with Jet Pack.
Old fans with long memories can list a ton of lines that come and go, but some have pretty good legs and were generally successful. If this one keeps going, it could make a lot of kids happy with figure-and-vehicle play now that bigger ships tend to be more expensive and far and few between. I look forward to seeing how this does.
