Question #1: from May 21, 2007:
Does Hasbro have any plans to do anything with the ROTS #6 Quick Draw Clone mold anytime soon? I think that's a great and under used mold and would be great in a battle pack or something.

My answer from 2007 With commentary from 2025:
Hasbro has made no plans known to use this mold again. I agree, it's a good one, far better than it's given credit-- after all, this figure can sit down without warping the legs (let's see you do that, Mr. Fancy Super Poseable Mold!) If new Battle Packs continue to surface, I'd expect to see it again. But on a basic card? Hasbro seems afraid to go back to it.
Hasbro would go on to make a few more figures with this mold, the last basic carded of which - I think - was Movie Heroes Shock Trooper from 2011 [FOTD #2,011]. For $8.99 you got a figure, a card, a stand, and a little die. It's a pretty decent value by today's standards, although none of us were pleased with the price increase at the time.

At some point around 2015 Hasbro seemed to have developed an allergy to on-board action features on most action figures. There are a few exceptions, but most kid figures outsourced the blasty-blast shoot shoot to the accessory way back in 2010ish. It's kind of funny that any sort of button or "squeeze legs for action" feature originated from 2002-2010 now seems to be squarely in the rear view mirror. The kid line only has kinetic accessories in deluxe figures and vehicles, which is kind of a shame. Transformers is similarly light on gimmicky fun and G.I. Joe seems to have given them up for Lent around 2010 and just ran with it. Mattel will occasionally sneak one in Masters of the Universe Origins but again, it's mostly in deluxe figures or vehicles and playsets. The basic figures aren't going to slash anyone. (WWE brings action figures to the party, here and there.)
