David Prowse - best known to our community as Darth Vader in the original Star Wars Trilogy, has passed away. He was 85.  

Mr. Prowse was a pop culture staple, showing up in the BBC The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy TV show as Hotblack Desiato's bodyguard, plus roles in numerous films like A Clockwork Orange, various Hammer Horror pictures, and more.   You can read more at The Hollywood Reporter and also his Wikipedia page.   Many of us got to see him as part of the "Men Behind the Masks" touring group at conventions in the 1990s, where he signed for fans all over the USA.
