The grand show is over but some announcements were made at today's closing ceremonies which will possibly influence your travel and entertainment plans for 2013. The second Star Wars Celebration in Europe has been announced for July 26th through the 28th 2013 in Messe Essen, Germany.
With Comic-Con 2013 taking place the week before on July 18-21, this may come down to either a jam packed 2 weeks or a choice on which one to attend for U.S. Star Wars fans.
Another announcement made is that Episode II: Attack of the Clones 3D and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith will be released in theaters back to back in the fall of 2013. Episode II is slated for release on September 20th while Episode III on October 11th. This move seems sensible given the box office results of Episode I in 3D and somewhat expedites the release of the Original Trilogy in 3D, which let's face it is what most of us have been waiting for.
Given the short 6-7 month run of the Movie Heroes Yoda line look begining next spring, we can't wait to see what Hasbro plans to announce at Toy Fair and Comic-Con, particularly for Jedi's 30th and the OT in 3D presumably for 2014. The return of The Vintage Collection? A new Sail Barge perhaps? While the former is most expected the latter is the stuff of collector dreams for now.
Stick with Galactic Hunter. We'll do our best to keep you on target every step of the way.
