New Black Series - repacks!  According to many sources, and Robot Kingdom (a very popular exporter of Transformers overseas) there are 4 more The Black Series 3 3/4-inch action figures coming out as future Walmart exclusives.  You may already own them, but they’re good ones if you missed them.  While Hasbro has not confirmed this, it’s a slow news week so we’re going to assume this is all fact and  tell you about these previous releases.  Read on for more pictures, links to reviews of the original figures, and a list of who you can expect to find in stores in the next couple of months.

At this time, there are no Rogue One or The Force Awakens figures in these waves known to be coming.   This continues the previous The Black Series line's proud tradition of minimizing freshness in the 3 3/4-inch range.

This week in Q&A - Awesome Features in Recent Star Wars Figures - will they return? I wouldn't get your hopes up. Articulation - so how exactly are they making bigger figures with more articulation at a lower price for Marvel now? Heck if I know. Skunk ape?  Balding ape?  Varmik?  It's the Hassk Thug, a McQuarrie-inspired triplet which is one of very few denizens of the castle on Takodana to get a figure.   It's one of those things fans need to start demanding, like a Lin-Manuel Miranda for some reason or another.  Anyway, how is he?  I'd say get one, but read on to see what I wrote in the review.

SEGA - yes that SEGA - is putting out some new consumer goods for Star Wars in Japan.   For when not just any clock will do, there are new Cloud City and Stormtrooper models.   In addition to that, the AT-AT Mat (or MAT-AT) is coming for your bathroom needs.  NCS has pre-orders for these slated for later this year.

This week in Q&A - X-Wings in XL! Is it realistic to expect a giant version of the sequel trilogy vehicle? And Lessons Learned from The Force Awakens - should we expect a change for Rogue One toys? (Not really - they were in development before that line hit.) Also Exclusives because why not.

Kenny Baker, best known for being R2-D2 in Star Wars as well as additional roles in the saga, died this week.  He was 83.  The Guardian has an obituary.

Big chains come and big chains go, with some not exactly expanding as the 21st century trudges on.  80 more Sears and Kmart stores closed this week, and Business Insider has a list of recent exiles.   One in Arizona is gone, along with four in California and a heck of a lot in Pennsylvania.   Click here to see if your store made it.
