Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,959: Amaulman (Custom)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, September 13, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Amaulman (Custom). It's mass-produced in China, but we're calling it a custom - this was made using new molds that also put out some Amanaman let's-say-replicas. The figure feels incredibly close to the original yellow and green figure, but the texture and detail on the staff are visibly changed if you have the real deal for comparisons. Otherwise, you'd probably be fooled into thinking it's the real deal - thankfully the Sith-colored figure makes it plainly obvious that this is not the genuine article. It's cool, but do you need it? Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,958: B0-B4 (Custom)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, September 8, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Day 2,958: B0-B4 (Custom/Fan-Made). It's a mass-produced custom, using new molds to make an old-style figure - and it's not licensed. So why are we looking at it? It's neat. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,957: Chewbacca (Prototype Edition - Orange Head, The Retro Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, September 6, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Chewbacca (Prototype Edition - Orange Head, The Retro Collection). Let's keep looking at 1970s- and 1980s-style action figures this week with a Crayola-infused Wookiee - Hasbro's fourth "prototype" release so far. He doesn't exactly deviate from the no-paint, many-colors pattern we've enjoyed but it's still fun to check out things like a bright yellow bowcaster and a Grinch-colored Wookiee-limb. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,956: NED-B (The Retro Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, September 1, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,956: NED-B (The Retro Collection). Ned's about $12, and looks a little modern, but is he worth it? I think so - it's a new retro-style droid and we don't get a heck of a lot of those. He has a hammer! Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,955: Grogu (& Ahsoka Tano, The Vintage Collection Deluxe)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, August 30, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Grogu (& Ahsoka Tano, The Vintage Collection Deluxe). "Grogu, his arms wide" sounds like a Tamarian metaphor, but it's just a Walmart exclusive accessory with a jointed head and not much else. It's great in the context of the set. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,954: Bo-Katan Kryze (6-Inch Value Figure, Black Logo Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 25, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Bo-Katan Kryze (6-Inch Value Figure, Black Logo Line Look). For a $5 figure, she's pretty good - but could use more paint on the torso. Still, an impressive figure for what you have to pay for her. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,953: Boba Fett (Throne Room, The Black Series)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, August 23, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Boba Fett (Throne Room, The Black Series). He's pretty impressive - but costs a lot more. (I don't see where the money is going really.) It's still a good figure. Read on!

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, August 16, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Reva (Third Sister, The Vintage Collection). She turned out great! The lightsaber is a little weird, but the articulation is excellent and unlike the Retro figure, she has great eyebrows. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,950: Darth Vader (The Dark Times, The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 11, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Darth Vader (The Dark Times, The Vintage Collection). It's probably Hasbro's very best overall Darth Vader. The articulation is good - Vader can nod up and down. He has two extra hands. He has a hilt and a fully-lit lightsaber to. Short of a retool with a bashed-up helmet, I assume this is as good as a Darth Vader in this size is going to get for a decade. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,949: Ahsoka Tano (The Black Series)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, August 9, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Ahsoka Tano (The Black Series). This is her first 6-inch figure based on the live-action appearances, and with two lightsabers it's pretty great! The knee articulation is clever and the sculpting is, as always, great. Read on!
