What's new with the Black Squad TIE Pilot, Amazon's exclusive Droid Factory figure? Not much.  The highlights are the inclusion of the rectangular gun which recalls the Kenner original, and the fact that the figure has not two, but one Imperial logo on his helmet.  Read on!

Did we need another Battle Droid, even if it's based on the exceptional Vintage design from 2012?  Probably not - the figure, despite being cool, has proven unpopular in its various toy forms.  Amazon's exclusive version includes a TC-70 part, which makes it much more essential for your toy box.  Read on!

Let's look at FA-4, the sole newly-tooled figure in Amazon's Legacy/Droid Factory boxed set.  I'm pleased to report that it's pretty great - expensive, sure, but such is life these days for the Star Wars collector.  Want to know more?  Read on!

If this Amazon-exclusive Droid Factory Sandtrooper looks vaguely familiar, it should - Hasbro dusted off the really cool 2012 release, changed the pauldron, altered the mud, and gave him a droid part.  And presto! New figure.  At retail odds are you'd be swarming to get this, but as part of an online exclusive set with no real cohesion, it's probably going to be collector-only.  Ah well! Let's finish up the second wave of The Black Series with Princess Leia (Slave Outfit), a 6-inch figure that asks the question "so when do we get Jabba?"   She's short, but so is Carrie Fisher.  Is this truly the best Hasbro can do, or just their first attempt?  Read on!

As of yesterday, I finally saw Boba Fett from The Black Series and all of his casemates in a Target store! Good hunting - but before you go hunt read Figure of the Day to see the new figure.  You may have read the SDCC review a few months ago, and the figure is basically the same - read on! 

I just got off of yet another plane so let's look at Greedo, the Black Series sensation that's sweeping the nation.  If you pre-ordered the set online, you'd have it by now.  It's pretty great - not as robust as Han Solo but clearly a lot of work went into this.  Read on!

So kids, let's upgrade to the 6-inch Han Solo, which  has alternate belts and alternate hands.  You'll probably spend at least an hour just futzing with him once you open one - it's quite good and fun to mess with.  You get two guns, too.  Could you ask for more?  Yes.  Read on!

For some reason, it's Clone Commander Ponds!  A redecorated version of the once-nameless Clone Trooper Officer figure has retconned Mr. Ponds to the Battle of Geonosis. The yellow is a little different, and he has different accessories than previous yellow clones based on the 2003 Clone Wars movie-style mold... but should you buy it?  Read on!

Was he in the movie?  Well, he was in a few novels, so Hasbro managed to sneak out Roan Shryne as an action figure in the just-released Toys R Us exclusive Gunship packs.  You'll probably want to snag it if you're a book fan, and if not, well, it's still movie-ish enough for my liking.   Read on!

Lady Jedi toys are uncommon, so Sarissa Jeng is pretty exciting to see.  Her legs are recycled, but the rest of her seems new despite being similar to Ki-Adi-Mundi.  The actress in stills looks quite cute - how is the figure?  Read on!

I assume people must really love Sephjet Josall, because I saw someone swap out the figure for a Qui-Gon at a Toys R Us this afternoon.  (May an elephant sit upon your house.)   Based on a background extra in Attack of the Clones, this is a Luke figure with a new "skirt" and a new head - and it works! Nicely done.  Read on!

Now here's one you'll like.  Pablo-Jill was released a few years ago with an excellent statue of a figure - gorgeous - but this new one is way more articulated, with the best wrists I've seen on any Jedi figure to date.  Actual ball-and-socket wrists make this completely articulated figure streets ahead of the competition, easily making it the best prequel Jedi of the season.  Read on!
