(NEW YORK, NY) For a few years now, Kotobukiya has been known for their magnificent PVC ArtFX statues that stunningly display Star Wars characters in stylized form. They introduced a 1/10 scale version in 2009 that features a tad more poseability in swappable parts, yet doesn't sacrifice on the detail.

Perhaps coming a year late, the 1/10 scale comes in fuller circle with the release of characters meant to produce that ULTIMATE Cloud City display. To prove their point, Kotobukiya set up their Toy Fair booth with a full brigade of 1/10 scale Stormtroopers (2 pack, $74.99, available in March) standing behind the Dark Lord of the Sith himself . In a side cube, one can find a nice mini dio of the freeze chamber featuring the 1/10 scale Vader ($44.99, available in May), Boba Fett ($44.99, available in April), and a Stormtrooper, sans the Rebel players, that captures the atmosphere of that scene almost perfectly.

Their 1/7 scale ArtFX statues also have some exciting releases coming up, including a Return of the Jedi Death Star II Darth Vader ($129.99, September 2011)that has a "join us or die" type pose. Kotobukiya hints at a possible version where the helmet lights up which we hope to preview at Comic-Con. A highly detailed 1/7 Commander Cody ($129.99, available in August) with a swappable "Order 66" arm that features a light up holographic Palpatine is also slated for release in the late summer.

A third series of their popular Lightsaber Chopsticks , which weren't displayed in their booth, will include EP3 Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku, and EP3 Obi-Wan Kenobi. Retail price is $9.99 and will be available in the 2nd Quarter.

Also available in the 2nd Quarter are nifty ice trays of R2-D2 and Han Solo in Carbonite. What a great way to add a little coolness to a Star Wars themed party or any party for that matter. Retail price for the ice trays are $9.99 each.
