Here's an interesting one - Goliath Games is making a Power Saber, which is a new non-licensed laser sword toy. Why are we mentioning it here? The Verge has an article titled "How Star Wars walked away from the world’s first self-retracting lightsaber toy" that kind of says it all.
The electronic toy is very "a lightsaber with the trademarks filed off," so no official sounds, and a generic hilt await this fully-extending blade which works through a screw mechanism. It's a really neat idea, but it's reportedly very loud and I assume kids (and fans) will be much less interested given the price combined with the lack of a license. Meanwhile, Hasbro will still sell you all the $275 FX Lightsbers you can store.
