I think Aurra Sing has evolved quite nicely in the Star Wars mythos. When she first appeared as a passing glimpse in The Phantom Menace, we hardly knew the personality of the padawan turned bounty hunter. Her recent appearance in The Clone Wars really cemented the deal of her badassery. The new Gentle Giant minibust is based on The Episode I version played by actress Michonne Bourriage, and it's a stunning piece that not only captures her likeness quite compellingly, but there's so much more.

Gentle Giant doesn't limit this bust to polystone alone.  They utilized a wide array of materials to be as dedicated to the character as possible. Her braids are a combination of wire and colorful plastic beads, the chain on her belt is metal, and her gunstrap is a combination of cloth and leather (or leatherette). The right detachable hand allows her to hoist the separate rifle on her shoulder and her left hand has a molded blaster that's pretty detailed. 

Her headsculpt was obviously real scanned from Ms. Bourriage because the likeness is quite good. Our photos, or even other samples we've seen on the web, do not capture this as effectively as it should. Her skin tone is an off white and some real nuanced shadows are lost in the studio lighting. There's a nice real texture to her hair even if it is polystone. Be careful with her antenna. Although it feels metallic, it's quite thin and fragile enough to where it can bend or maybe even break off quite easily.

The box packaging is a little taller than usual minibust standards to allow the rifle to be packaged appropriately. At a pricepoint of $75, she also costs a bit more, but seeing where Gentle Giant used a few nice materials with an awesome end result, it's somewhat justified. 

If you are an Aurra Sing fan, bounty hunter afficianado, or just appreciate good art and sculpting, then you have to get this piece. It's simply remakable.
