In "I can't believe it" news, Disney+ is adding Ewoks to their line-up. Also a number of other 1970s and 1980s Star Wars small-screen action, of which the Endor furballs made up the most volume. (Conspicuously absent: Droids, a cartoon with R2-D2, C-3PO, Boba Fett, IG-88, Mini-Rigs, and of course, Vlix.)
A Disney+ line-up making the rounds in the press mentioned the following Star Wars highlights:
April 2
Caravan Of Courage (or in the USA, The Ewok Adventure)
Ewoks: The Battle For Endor
Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume I
Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume II
Star Wars: Ewoks (S1)
Star Wars: Ewoks (S2)
The Story Of The Faithful Wookiee (this is the Holiday Special animated segment with Boba Fett)
For whatever reason, the 1980s Ewoks cartoon has received some love in the Disney era - mostly in apparel at stores like Hot Topic and Box Lunch. To date I've not found anything from Droids, which as one of my favorite Saturday morning TV shows as a kid I am cranky. It remains to be seen if the Ewoks cartoons retain the original Taj Mahal theme song and music, or if it will be re-edited like the 1997 VHS "Feature" rereleases that were later dumped on DVD.
