For those of you who are interested in reading, something called William Shakespeare's Star Wars: Verily, A New Hope is actually a thing coming out July 2.  Amazon has it up for pre-order, and EW.com has an excerpt up you can read right now!  Ian Doescher penned the play which comes complete with illustrations that are appropriately of an older era.

With other new takes on the franchise, like one based on an early draft of George Lucas' screenplay, the only real question is which other genres will we see mixed with the sci-fantasy franchise of choice... and how come the Star Wars Anime isn't a thing yet?
