Hasbro's first attempt at a non-R2-D2 astromech droid form was one of its best.  The then-nameless Astromech Droid later christened R2-R9 had a light-up light (rather than the eyeport, which never lights up) and tons of articulation with no ugly action features to get in the way.  In 1999, it was beautiful-- and it's still quite nice.  Read on!
