This week in Q&A - Exclusive C-3PO - anxious? Well, it comes, it goes. Get thee to a Walgreens, go. Reproduction - the songs of The Human League! No wait, this is about vintage toy parts. And finally, exclusive duplicates - just how skippable is that 6-pack at Toys R Us right now?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,301: Sergeant Jyn Erso (Jedha, Rogue One)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, November 3, 2016

It's Sergeant Jyn Erso (Jedha) from wave 2 of the 3 3/4-inch Rogue One line!  She has a scarf, a blaster, a rocket launcher, and feels like she'd be right at home in the mid-late 1980s "off camera" world of Star Wars toys.   If she couldn't pilot the ATL Interceptor, I don't know who could.   But is she worth picking up - even with appearances in an upcoming gift set and vehicle?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,300: Director Krennic (Rogue One)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, November 2, 2016

Director Krennic is in charge of the whole Death Star construction thing and has a group of hangers-on called Death Troopers.  As such, one might assume he's the new bad guy - the figure turned out fairly well, although maybe the cape isn't exactly what you wanted.   It's still a nice figure.   Read on!

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, November 1, 2016

In the annals of obscurity, many people at many companies worked very hard to bring you the still-nameless Jabba's Bartender astromech droid, in stock now at Entertainment Earth.  It's in Return of the Jedi, and if you can find it you get a prize.   Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,298: R2-B00 (Droid Factory)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, October 31, 2016

Happy Halloween!  R2-B00 is - or was - at Disney theme parks as I type this for about thirteen spooky dollars.    It'll be a beast to find them now that R2-H16 is shipping.  I bet they'll skeleton of them.  You could say it's pretty ghoul.   Rather than torture more words in this intro, why not read on?

Q&A: Star Wars Starfighters, Sci-Fi Retro Figures, and Paint

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, October 30, 2016

This week in Q&A - Starfighters - there sure are lots of them, aren't there? And paint - what's with the dots? Also other sci-fi action figures - could they have a revival in a retro style? It's like Laura Kightlinger says, "Anything can happen with a razor."

And send in your questions for next week. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,297: R3-M2 (Rogue One, Droid Factory)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, October 27, 2016

And finishing up the 4-pack, it's R3-M2!  This one has a new dome sculpt with a big silver band on the bottom which, unfortunately, helps highlight the inaccuracies of the Hasbro domes for the R3 droids over the past few years.  Well.  I guess we can look to redoing the rest of them.  It's a great figure with wonderful deco, so check it out and read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,296: R2-BHD (Rogue One, Droid Factory)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, October 26, 2016

Silver on silver!  R2-BHD has some nifty deco points, but is a little on the pale side.  It's like the ghost of R2-D2.   You can get it at or near Disney theme parks as I write this, so go ahead and do that were you so inclined.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,295: C2-B5 (Rogue One, Droid Factory)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, October 25, 2016

It appears Lucasfilm and Disney are going long on C2-B5 - at least three known action figures are available or are in the works so far.   This 3 3/4-inch action figure is available now as part of a Disney parks exclusive Rogue One boxed set - one you can actually buy outside the park in the Downtown Disney compound.  Should you get it?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,294: R5-SK1 (Rogue One, Droid Factory)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, October 24, 2016

It took me longer to grasp than it should have, but I'm pretty sure R5-SK1 is a nod to Skippy, the Jedi Droid.  If you don't know what that is, you missed Star Wars Tales - and that was a fine comic.  This new droid is one of four figures in a new Disney parks exclusive droid pack for Rogue One, where one droid looks like one you probably have, another is coming with a big vehicle later, and the remaining two are seemingly brand new for this set.   If you like droids, this is a good week to be you - we're going to examine the entire set.  Read on!
